Pest control Google Ads · Australia-wide

Google Ads management for pest control businesses.

Google Ads for pest control businesses puts your company in front of people actively searching for termite treatment, rodent control, cockroach treatment and other pest services in the areas you cover. I manage the campaign and the full lead path, from search terms and service pages to calls, follow-up and booked-job feedback.

Written and managed by Ajay Dabhi. Melbourne-based, working directly with suitable pest-control businesses across Australia. Updated 6 August 2026.

00 / Direct answer

What is Google Ads for a pest control business?

It is a paid search system that can show a pest-control business when someone searches Google for a service it provides in an area it serves. Keyword selection is one small part. The campaign, ad, landing page, phone path, follow-up and booking feedback all need to describe the same service.

  1. 01

The search has a real job behind it

The person is looking for a pest service now, not passively scrolling past a general promotion.

  2. 02

    The message matches the problem

A termite search should see termite language. A rodent search should see rodent-control language.

  3. 03

The business can act on the enquiry

The call or form reaches a tracked response path, and the team records whether it became a useful lead or booking.

01 / The whole system

From a Google search to a real booking.

Think of the campaign as a path with seven steps. If one step is missing, a good lead can still get lost.

  1. 01 / STEP

    A customer searches

Someone types a real need into Google, such as termite treatment, rodent control or cockroach control in their area.

  2. 02 / STEP

    The right ad appears

The ad matches the pest problem and the service area. Searches that are clearly wrong are filtered out where possible.

  3. 03 / STEP

    They see the right page

A termite search goes to a termite page. A rodent search goes to a rodent page. The visitor does not have to hunt through a general website.

  4. 04 / STEP

    They contact you

The customer can call, send a form, use live chat or request a suitable booking time.

  5. 05 / STEP

    The system responds

The lead enters one CRM. Your team is alerted, and an SMS or email can acknowledge the enquiry straight away.

  6. 06 / STEP

    The job moves forward

You call, qualify and book the customer. If a call is missed or arrives after hours, the AI receptionist can collect the details and follow the approved next step.

  7. 07 / STEP

The useful leads shape the next change

Calls, forms and lead status are tracked. I use that information to improve the ads and explain the week in plain English.

02 / Pest-control search intent

I separate the pest problem before I spend the budget.

Google's search terms report shows the actual searches that triggered ads. I use that evidence to keep useful demand, tighten the wording and add exclusions. Google explains the report in its official search terms guidance.

01 / TERMITES

Termite work

Inspection, treatment and prevention can represent different customer decisions. I separate the agreed services so the ad and page do not make one vague promise for every termite search.

02 / RODENTS

Rodent control

Rat and mouse searches can be urgent, residential or commercial. The campaign needs the right location, service and response path rather than one broad pest-control group.

03 / INSECTS

Cockroaches, ants and spiders

I group only the services the business actually provides, then match the wording to the pest problem and the areas where that work can be accepted.

04 / COMMERCIAL

Commercial pest management

A facility manager looking for ongoing commercial service is making a different decision from a homeowner with an immediate problem. The ads and page should reflect that difference.

Budget protection

What I usually check for exclusion.

This is a starting checklist, not a blind block list. A term is excluded only after it is checked against the services and customers the business actually wants.

  • 01DIY instructions and home remedies
  • 02Pest-control jobs, training and courses
  • 03Products, sprays and equipment
  • 04Free identification-only searches
  • 05Pests or treatments the business does not offer
  • 06Suburbs, towns or regions outside the agreed service area

03 / Management scope

What I build and manage around the campaign.

The agreed management scope can cover the campaign, service pages, lead handling and reporting below. The final service list, page scope and system connections are confirmed before payment. Ad spend and variable usage remain separate.

01 / ADS

Complete Google Ads management

I research the market, organise campaigns by service and area, write the ads, add useful exclusions, control spend and make ongoing changes from the search terms and lead quality.

02 / PAGES

A landing page for each agreed service

Each campaign service gets a focused page built around that exact problem. The agreed service list and page scope are confirmed before the build starts.

03 / TRACKING

A dedicated Google Ads phone number

The tracking number routes calls to your business and separates Google Ads calls from other phone activity, so the campaign calls can be counted and reviewed.

04 / CRM

Lead CRM and mobile app

Calls, forms and conversations sit in one organised list. You can see the person, the service they need, the conversation and the current status from the app.

05 / RESPONSE

Instant SMS and email follow-up

New leads can receive a quick acknowledgement while your team is notified. Follow-up steps can continue when the person does not reply, using messages agreed with you.

06 / CHAT

Live chat and booking path

A website chat widget can answer basic approved questions, collect job details and guide a suitable customer towards a booking request.

07 / JOBS

Job booking system

Suitable enquiries can move into a simple booking calendar or appointment workflow. The rules are set around your hours, service areas and the jobs you actually accept.

08 / PHONE

AI receptionist for missed calls

When your team cannot answer, the AI receptionist can respond, ask approved questions, capture the caller's details and offer the next suitable step.

09 / REVIEWS

Review request management

After a completed job, the system can send an agreed review request and make the review link easy to reach. Reviews and organic growth are never guaranteed.

10 / REPORT

Weekly reporting and tracking

You receive a clear view of spend, calls, forms, search demand and lead status where that data is available, plus the changes I made and what I recommend next.

04 / Service landing pages

Why each advertised pest service needs a relevant page.

A landing page is the page a person sees after clicking an ad. Its job is to answer the problem they searched for, explain the service and make the next step easy. Google's own measurement guidance recommends sending people to the most relevant page and, where practical, a page dedicated to the product or service. Read the official Google Ads measurement guidance.

A termite customer should land on a termite-treatment page, not a general list of everything the business does.

For the broader page-planning method, read my service-business landing-page guide.

What happens, where you work and how to call or book

01 / WHY

Less confusion

The visitor sees the service they asked for instead of sorting through unrelated pest-control information.

02 / WHY

Stronger message

The headline, page copy and action can match the same problem, urgency and service area as the ad.

03 / WHY

Clearer learning

Calls and forms can be compared by service, which helps show which searches are producing useful enquiries.

05 / Speed to lead

A new lead should not sit quietly in an inbox.

Speed to lead simply means responding quickly after a person asks for help. They may be worried about pests and contacting more than one business.

My follow-up automation guide explains how to define messages, timing, ownership and stop rules.

00:00

The lead arrives

The call, form or chat is added to the CRM with the available source and service details.

NEXT

Your team is notified

The app can alert you so the lead is visible without waiting for someone to check a shared inbox.

NOW

The customer is acknowledged

An agreed SMS or email can confirm that the message was received and explain the next step.

LATER

Follow-up continues

If there is no reply, the system can send planned follow-up messages instead of relying on memory.

CRM

One organised notebook

Every lead, note and status has one home.

APP

The notebook in your pocket

You can see and update leads from the phone app.

SMS + EMAIL

The instant acknowledgement

The customer knows the enquiry arrived.

FOLLOW-UP

The memory helper

Planned reminders reduce leads forgotten in a busy day.

06 / Missed calls and booking

The AI receptionist is a backup, not the pest expert.

When a call rings out or arrives after hours, the AI receptionist can answer as an AI assistant, follow the approved script and keep the enquiry moving until your team takes over.

See the separate AI receptionist service for the phone workflow, privacy boundaries and human handoff.

Approved call path

  1. 01

    Say who it is

The caller is told they are speaking with an AI assistant.

  2. 02

    Ask the basics

Name, phone, location, pest problem and any approved urgency questions.

  3. 03

    Check simple rules

Service area, operating hours, suitable job type and approved availability.

  4. 04

    Complete or hand over

Offer an allowed booking step, create a priority message or pass the call to a person when required.

What it can do

  • Answer when your normal phone path is missed
  • Collect approved job and contact details
  • Give approved basic information
  • Offer an agreed booking request or next step
  • Send your team a useful call summary

What stays human

  • Expert pest-control diagnosis
  • Safety, chemical and emergency judgement
  • Unapproved pricing or promises
  • Unusual jobs and customer complaints
  • Final decisions outside the agreed rules

07 / Measurement

A click is not a pest-control lead.

I keep the stages separate so the report does not turn website activity into a sales claim. A useful report should show what is known, what the team confirmed and where the data stops.

  1. 01

    Search and click

Which search triggered the ad and which page the person reached.

  2. 02

    Call or form

Whether a tracked contact action happened through the campaign path.

  3. 03

    Relevant enquiry

Whether the person wanted an offered pest service in an accepted area.

  4. 04

    Qualified lead

Whether the job, timing and customer details matched the business rules.

  5. 05

    Booked or completed job

The business confirms the commercial outcome so campaign decisions can move beyond click data.

Weekly reporting covers spend, search terms, calls, forms and the lead-status information the business has supplied. Google's call reporting can provide call details for supported call assets and ads. Read the official call reporting explanation. A recorded call still needs human lead-quality feedback.

08 / Build and launch

What happens, step by step.

I do not switch on ads first and repair the lead path later. The ad, page, phone and follow-up system need to connect before money is sent into the campaign.

  1. 01 / STEP

    Confirm the service area

I check that the agreed area is available and that your services, job value, capacity and ad budget make the offer sensible.

  2. 02 / STEP

    Map the services

You tell me which pest-control services and areas matter. I record the jobs you do not want and define what a useful lead means before building the campaign.

  3. 03 / STEP

    Build the search campaign

I research keywords, group the useful search intent, write the ads, set location controls and add the first negative keywords.

  4. 04 / STEP

    Build the service pages

I create a focused page for every agreed campaign service, with the matching problem, service explanation, trust details and clear call, form or booking action.

  5. 05 / STEP

    Connect the response system

I connect forms, call tracking, CRM, app alerts, SMS, email, chat, booking and the AI receptionist around the rules agreed with you.

  6. 06 / STEP

    Test the complete journey

Before launch, I test the ads and pages, make a test call, send a test form, check the messages and confirm that the lead appears in the right place.

  7. 07 / STEP

    Launch and improve

I review search terms, spend, calls, forms and lead feedback each week. That evidence decides what I keep, block, rewrite or test next.

What I need from the business

The campaign can only be as accurate as the operating rules.

  • 01The pest services you want to advertise
  • 02Suburbs, towns or regions you genuinely serve
  • 03Business hours and after-hours call rules
  • 04Google Ads, website and domain access where required
  • 05Approved claims, licences and trust information
  • 06A separate Google advertising budget
  • 07Booking capacity and jobs the team will not accept
  • 08Feedback on relevant leads, bookings and completed jobs

09 / Price and boundaries

The management price is simple. The operating costs stay visible.

8-week starting offer

A$996

Four paid management weeks + four free management weeks

Included in management

Campaign management, agreed service landing pages, CRM setup, automation setup, booking path, AI receptionist setup, call tracking setup, review workflow and weekly reporting described on this page.

Paid separately

Google ad spend and variable phone, SMS and AI usage. Any extra work outside the agreed campaign services and area is scoped before it is added.

No lead, booking, revenue, ranking or review count is guaranteed. The agreed service area is reserved for one active pest-control business under this offer after the scope is confirmed.

This can be a fit when

  • The business has clear services and a real service area
  • Someone can answer, qualify and serve new enquiries
  • The value of a booked job can support paid acquisition
  • The team will share lead and booking feedback

Fix this before advertising

  • There is no capacity to answer or complete more work
  • The services or travel boundary are still unclear
  • The plan depends on guaranteed leads or bookings
  • There is no separate Google advertising budget

10 / Plain-English answers

Questions pest-control owners usually ask.

01Do Google Ads work for pest control businesses?

Google Ads can suit a pest-control business when people are already searching for the services it provides, the service area is clear and someone can answer and follow up with enquiries. It is not automatic. Search demand, competition, budget, page quality, phone handling and booking capacity all affect the result.

02How much should a pest control business spend on Google Ads?

There is no honest universal budget. I work from the services you want to sell, the areas you cover, current search demand, competition, the value of a booked job and how many new enquiries the team can handle. Google ad spend is agreed separately from my management fee.

03Is the Google Ads budget included in A$249 per week?

No. The A$249 weekly price is the management fee. Your advertising budget is paid separately to Google. Phone, SMS and AI usage charges are also separate because they depend on how much the system is used. I show the agreed setup and expected operating costs before work starts.

04Why does every service need its own landing page?

A person worried about termites should immediately see termite information, not a long list of every pest service. A dedicated page lets the headline, explanation, service area and next action match that search. I build separate pages for the agreed campaign services when the existing website cannot provide that match.

05Can you track phone calls from Google Ads?

Yes. A dedicated tracking number can route calls to the business while recording that the call came through the Google Ads path. Call length or source alone does not prove it was a useful lead, so I also need the business to mark whether the caller was relevant, qualified and booked.

06What happens when the business misses a call after hours?

The AI receptionist can act as a disclosed backup, collect approved contact and job details, and offer the next allowed step. It does not diagnose pests, advise on chemicals, make safety decisions or replace the judgement of a trained pest-control professional.

07What does get four weeks free mean?

You pay the first four management weeks upfront: 4 × A$249 = A$996. The next four management weeks are free, so the eight-week management total is A$996. From week nine, ongoing management is A$249 per week unless the service is stopped or changed by agreement.

08Do you guarantee leads, bookings or reviews?

No. Search demand, competition, pricing, availability, sales follow-up and the customer's decision are not fully controlled by an ad account. I manage the system, track the strongest available evidence and explain what is known and what is not.

09Do you work with pest-control businesses outside Melbourne?

Yes. Google Ads management, landing pages and automation are delivered to suitable pest-control businesses across Australia. I am based in Melbourne. Physical on-site visits and content production are available in Melbourne.

10How soon can a pest control Google Ads campaign start?

The launch happens after the service and area scope is confirmed, account access is available, the campaign and pages are built, tracking is connected and the full enquiry path passes testing. I do not promise a fixed launch date before checking those inputs because missing access, approvals or website details can change the build time.

11 / Your next move

Tell me which pest services and areas you want to grow.

I will check the service-area availability, the campaign fit and the lead path before recommending a build. Call, text or use the contact page. I respond within one business day.
