01 / A PERSON ALONGSIDE YOUR BUSINESS

Your Melbourne business growth consultant.

You know your business. You shouldn’t have to figure out growth alone.

I’m Ajay Dabhi. I work directly with service-business owners to understand their customers, work through what is holding them back and put a practical growth plan into action. You have one person who listens, does the work and stays involved.

02 / START WITH A REAL CONVERSATION

Someone who takes the time to understand.

You might be excellent at pest control, running a trade business or looking after your clients. That does not mean you should already know which ads to run, what your customer data is telling you or where AI could help.

When every conversation starts with another package, it is easy to spend money without feeling clearer about the business. I want to hear what has actually been happening: the customers you want, the work you enjoy, the things taking your time and the advice that has left you unsure.

Then I help connect the pieces. The customer research can shape the offer. The offer shapes the website and marketing. The enquiries tell us something about sales, follow-up and whether the team is ready for more work.

You bring the knowledge of your business. I bring another perspective, practical skills and responsibility for the work we agree.

03 / LOOK AT THE BUSINESS TOGETHER

Growth touches more than your marketing.

These are the conversations and areas of work I can help with. We choose what matters to your business now, then revisit it as things change.

01

Understand the customers you want more of.

Who is a good customer for your business? What do they need, what puts them off and why would they choose you?

HOW I CAN HELP

I listen to what you already know, review customer conversations and feedback, and research the market. Together we build an ideal customer profile in plain English and use it to guide your offer, message and priorities.

WHAT WE LOOK AT TOGETHER

The types of work you want, the areas you can serve, why people buy and what makes those customers a good fit for your capacity.

02

Help the right people find and choose you.

You want more suitable work, but every person you speak to recommends a different marketing channel.

HOW I CAN HELP

I help decide where to focus and can do the agreed website, SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads work myself. We can also look at referrals, repeat customers and local business relationships. Your message should make sense wherever people encounter you.

WHAT WE LOOK AT TOGETHER

Customer demand, your offer, budget, existing enquiries and whether the business can handle more work before increasing activity.

03

Understand what happens after the enquiry.

The phone might be ringing, yet you are still unsure why some conversations become jobs and others disappear.

HOW I CAN HELP

We look at how calls are handled, what customers ask, how quotes are explained and how follow-up happens. I help improve the process and make the numbers understandable, so a marketing report connects to what is happening in the business.

WHAT WE LOOK AT TOGETHER

Suitable enquiries, responses, quotes, bookings and collected revenue where records are available. A click or enquiry is not automatically a paying customer.

04

Make the day-to-day easier to run.

Too much depends on you remembering every callback, moving information between tools and telling everyone what to do next.

HOW I CAN HELP

I help organise customer records, enquiry handling, reminders, scheduling handoffs and simple team procedures. We start with the tools you already use and connect or change them where there is a useful reason.

WHAT WE LOOK AT TOGETHER

Where work gets delayed, where details get lost and what your team needs to keep things moving without asking you every time.

05

Work out where another person could help.

You feel stretched, but it is not clear whether you need more leads, a better process or someone to take a particular responsibility.

HOW I CAN HELP

We can map the work, define the role you need and prepare a clear role brief, hiring workflow and onboarding checklist. I help connect that decision to the work coming in and the systems the person will use.

WHAT WE LOOK AT TOGETHER

The tasks taking your time, the handoffs a new person would own and how you would know the role is helping. You make the hiring decision and manage employment matters.

06

Put AI to work on something useful.

You hear about AI agents and automation, but need someone to explain what would actually help in your business.

HOW I CAN HELP

I can help build and test suitable assistants and workflows: drafting follow-ups, organising enquiry details, finding internal information or handling an agreed repetitive task. We decide what the system can do and when a person needs to review or take over.

WHAT WE LOOK AT TOGETHER

Time saved on the chosen task, accuracy, running costs and how the workflow handles missing information or mistakes before relying on it more widely.

04 / RESPONSIBILITY YOU CAN SEE

A person who stays involved.

I want you to have someone you can return to as the business grows. Someone who remembers why a decision was made and can help you think through the next one.

That relationship still needs clear expectations. We agree the priorities, my responsibilities, your inputs, the cost and how often we review progress. I explain what is moving, what is stuck and what I recommend changing.

You stay in charge of the business. I take responsibility for my research, recommendations and the work I agree to deliver.

05 / HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Listen. Understand. Act. Keep improving.

  1. 01

    First, I listen.

Tell me how the business works, what has been frustrating and where you want it to go. We talk about your customers, team, time and ambitions. In Melbourne, we can arrange to do that face to face.

  2. 02

I do the work to understand it.

I review the relevant customer feedback, market, marketing activity and business processes. We separate what the evidence shows from what we are assuming, and identify what we still need to learn.

  3. 03

We choose the next priorities together.

I explain what I recommend, why it matters and what it would involve. We consider your budget and capacity. Sometimes the right advice is to stop spending on something, simplify it or deal with a process first.

  4. 04

I take responsibility for my part.

I personally deliver the work we agree within my services, keep you informed and explain anything that changes the plan. If another specialist is needed, I identify that with you so we can agree how to handle it.

  5. 05

    We keep learning and adjusting.

We agree a rhythm for reviewing progress, customer feedback and business results. As the business changes, we revisit the priorities. You have someone who already understands the background for the next conversation.

06 / MELBOURNE, FACE TO FACE

Let’s sit down and talk about your business.

A conversation at your workplace can help me understand things that are hard to see in a report: how a call is handled, how a job reaches the team or what keeps interrupting your day.

I’m based in Tarneit. If you are in Melbourne, we can arrange to meet and talk it through in person. We can look at the real process together and discuss the kind of business you want to build.

You do not need a presentation or a list of technical requirements. Bring the questions you have been carrying around and tell me what is going on.

For suitable businesses elsewhere in Australia, we can have the same ongoing conversations and deliver digital work remotely.

07 / BEFORE WE WORK TOGETHER

Practical questions. Straight answers.

What does a business growth consultant help with?

A business growth consultant helps an owner understand what is holding the business back, decide what deserves attention and act on those decisions. My focus connects customer research, positioning, marketing, lead handling, everyday systems and practical AI. I can also help clarify roles and organise hiring or onboarding processes. We look at how these parts affect each other before choosing a tool or advertising channel.

Do I need to understand marketing or technology before we talk?

No. You bring your knowledge of the business and your customers. I explain the marketing, data and technology in plain language, including what I recommend and why. A website, a few recent enquiries or simply an example of what is frustrating you is enough to start the conversation. Detailed research or implementation is agreed and priced before I begin that work.

Is this ongoing advice or a one-off project?

The offer is an ongoing working relationship where that is useful to the business. We agree the priorities, work, communication and review rhythm. Individual projects can sit inside that relationship, but the conversation can cover the wider picture as it changes. You can also start with a defined piece of work before deciding whether to continue together.

Do you give advice and do the implementation yourself?

Yes, for the work we agree within my services. I personally handle customer research, marketing recommendations and agreed delivery across websites, SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, selected systems and AI automation. You deal with me. When something needs another specialist or more capacity than I can provide, we discuss that openly and agree who is responsible.

Can you help beyond online marketing, including hiring?

Yes. We can look at referrals, customer experience, how enquiries are handled, team responsibilities and the processes behind the service. Hiring support can include identifying the role you need, writing a role brief and organising an application or onboarding workflow. You remain responsible for selecting and employing people; specialist recruitment or employment advice needs the appropriate provider.

Can we meet at my business in Melbourne?

Yes, by arrangement. I am based in Tarneit and can arrange a Melbourne meeting or workplace visit when it helps us understand the business. We agree the timing, travel and any on-site work beforehand. I do not run a walk-in office. Digital services and remote advice are available to suitable service businesses across Australia.

What does taking responsibility mean in practice?

It means I explain my recommendations, document the agreed priorities, personally deliver my work and keep you informed about progress or problems. We agree responsibilities and review the evidence together. You keep control of business decisions and spending. I take responsibility for the quality and follow-through of my agreed work; I cannot guarantee revenue, profit, rankings or a fixed number of customers.

How much does working with you cost?

It depends on the advice, research, implementation and level of ongoing involvement you need. I explain the proposed work, fee and review arrangement before you commit. Advertising spend, software subscriptions, usage costs and any specialist work are identified separately where relevant. If an initial paid review is needed to define the wider work, we agree its scope and cost first.

How will we know whether it is helping?

We choose measures that match the priority: suitable enquiries and booked work for marketing; response and follow-up for sales; time, missed steps and adoption for systems. We review available business records alongside platform reports and label missing information. The useful question is whether the changes are helping the business, and what we should do next. The review frequency is agreed as part of working together.

08 / START WITH WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND

Where do you want the business to go?

Tell me what you do, what has been difficult and what you would like to change. We can talk about whether I am the right person to help and what working together could look like.
